Nigeria’s leading mobile Internet service provider, Airtel Networks Limited, has announced a strategic partnership with ZTE, Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment/systems Company and world leader in mobile Internet hardware and solutions, to launch 4G (fourth generation of wireless mobile telecommunications technology) in Nigeria.

In December, 2012, Airtel became the first telecoms operator in the country to complete a successful 4G trial in Lagos, the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, in line with its commitment to pioneer innovation and lead a mobile Internet revolution in Nigeria.

Commenting on the partnership with ZTE, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, Segun Ogunsanya, said, “This is a new dawn for mobile Internet in Nigeria. Airtel and ZTE’s collaboration to roll out 4G service pan Nigeria will dramatically improve mobile Internet experience for telecoms consumers across the country.

“Indeed, Airtel is committed to strengthening its position as a true pioneer of innovation in the Nigerian telecommunications domain, as this is in line with our overall corporate vision of becoming the mobile Internet service provider of first choice for every Nigerian.”

Also speaking on the planned 4G deployment across Nigeria, Regional VP of ZTE Corporation, Mr. Zhang Ruigang commented: “As a reliable partner, ZTE will cooperate with Airtel Nigeria to build the first-class 4G LTE network, and provide the best long term service to Airtel Nigeria.”

Ad-blocking has risen sharply in recent years as advertisers have tried increasingly intrusive ways of getting readers’ attention. As ad-blockers have gotten more robust, ads have gotten more and more obnoxious. Ad-blockers work on most any web browser out there, but it seems that there might be a new ad-blocker built into a web browser, and really, you’ve seen the title so you already know, but it really probably isn’t the browser you’d think. Google is reportedly considering adding a built-in Chrome ad-blocker according to the usual “people familiar with the situation.”

You’d probably think it odd that a company whose fortune was built almost entirely on advertising would voluntarily add any sort of advertising blocking to their own software. It could very easily be seen as a move to cut out non-Google ads in order to promote their own ads, but at least on paper, the search and advertising giant seems to be on the up and up. The Coalition for Better Ads released a list of “unacceptable ad types” back in March, and rumor is that the Chrome ad-blocker would likely block ads deemed “unacceptable,” which consist of:

According to those standards, ad formats such as pop-ups, auto-playing video ads with sound and “prestitial” ads with countdown timers are deemed to be “beneath a threshold of consumer acceptability.”

Google has naturally declined to comment on what is as of this time largely a rumor, but the move does make a lot of sense in some ways. As ad-blocking increases, the chances of getting Google’s ads blocked increases as well. By adding their own ad-blocker they can control a bit more about what comes and goes through their own filter. It’s possible that Google will decide to skip the whole matter entirely, but the Wall Street Journal knows “people familiar with the situation” (who are those people, anyway?) who believe there’s at least a chance. This could also be a colossally bad idea for Google, who is already embroiled in their fair share of anti-trust lawsuits around the world.

We’re fairly confident that most of our readers understand how the internet works, but there are some who could use a little more information. Perhaps the best examples for that category are LightSail, the Bill Nye-helmed campaign that brought Carl Sagan’s “solar sailer” to life, and the Oculus VR headset. Oculus raised $2.4 million on the platform, which is impressive, but what the campaign really did for the team is bring it to Facebook’s attention — the social network ended up buying Oculus for a cool $2 billion. There’s also OpenROV, the underwater drone that raised over $800,000 on the platform.

In addition to technologies that push the limits, the team is also looking for campaigns featuring tools that can help bring other people’s projects to life. Kickstarter says it decided to publish its request, because it was inspired by Y Combinator’s call for startups. It’s also part of staying true to its promise to support arts and creativity as a public benefit corporation, which was also the reason why the company hosted a special STEM event for kids last year. We all love Tesla here at Techaeris, and are excited to see the new and amazing things that they’re doing with electric vehicles. The public really only gets to see a very small piece of the whole puzzle though, and what goes on behind the curtain isn’t always going to be as rosy and polished as the Model S sitting on the pedestal out front. Employees at Grohmann Engineering — a German engineering company recently purchased by the company — are threatening to strike on grounds that Tesla is paying them significantly less than they should.

Grohmann Engineering was purchased by Tesla in November 2016 as a way to help automate processes at its factories and speed up production. The move was seen as a key to launching the Model 3, Tesla’s first car aimed at the general consumer. Employees at Grohmann have complained that since Tesla took over, they’ve been paid 30% below their appropriate union wages. Tesla, in a statement to Business Insider, refutes that claim:

We continue to work directly with Tesla Grohmann employees and are prepared in the event there is an action initiated by the union. We don’t anticipate any impact on the Model 3 timeline.

Delays would be nothing new for the company, as both of their current major models have seen delays. The Model S had a brief delay at the end of 2010 into mid-2011, while the Model X was famously delayed multiple times over a period of three years. The company has rightfully been trying to smooth out processes to make things easier for the Model 3 since the more affordable car has already received completely ridiculous pre-order numbers.

The labor threats in Germany are also a bit too close to the norm too it seems. Factory workers in Tesla’s Fremont, CA, location have looked to form a union after “excessive mandatory overtime” and difficult working conditions.

The dual-camera craze seems to be hitting several smartphone manufacturers including Apple and Huawei. One company that hasn’t put a dual-camera on its flagship phone is Samsung. That doesn’t mean the company hasn’t experimented with a dual-camera setup though, at least according to one Tweet. In the Tweet below you can see a Samsung Galaxy S8+ with dual-cameras. This is apparently a prototype and Samsung has been forthright in the past that they have experimented with the idea. The reason the company has yet to incorporate dual-cameras is they found no value in two cameras on a smartphone.

Both Apple and Huawei use dual-cameras for depth of field trickery and for the most part, they both work fairly well. Samsung is probably experimenting with the same concepts but likely aren’t satisfied with the results they’re seeing.

It is no secret that Samsung experimented with a dual-camera setup for its Galaxy S8 smartphone generation. The company told our own Dan Seifert as much during its preview event for the S8 in South Korea last month. Company execs told Dan that they didn’t pursue the dual-camera route because “Samsung has not found real value for it yet.”

What’s more eye-opening for us here is the fact that Samsung could have put that oddly placed fingerprint (on the new S8) sensor elsewhere. The consensus across most of the early reviews is the current placement of the fingerprint sensor is awkward and inconvenient, my unit should be here soon so I’ll most certainly have an opinion soon. It will be interesting to see if Samsung eventually embraces dual-camera technology or simply just dismisses it.

CVR 2017 is sponsored by BCLC, Creative BC, VEC, Microsoft, YDeams and Cloudhead Games among others, and will feature speakers from some of the biggest companies in the world including NASA, Ford, Delta Airlines and Super Ventures. Representatives from these companies will speak about topics such as solving problems in outer space with VR, designing the future of Virtual Humans, and featuring the latest evolution in entertainment.

In addition to the VR/AR companies participating, the industry event will be kicked off by welcome remarks from Vancouver mayor Gregor Robertson.

How To Upgrade Infinix Note 3 & Note 3 pro Via OTA Update

So inorder to get this upgrade running on your Infinix device, simply turn on your wifi if you have a working wifi network or subscribe​ to a data plan of about 3GB because the ota update itself is about 1.5GB in size to download the update and upgrade to enjoy all nougat 7 features. How To Manually Update Infinix Note 3 & Note 3 pro Using TCard/ SD Card Method

For those who have not yet received nougat 7 ota update for your Infinix note 3 amd note 3 pro and also prefer to manually download update using Uc browser or PC to manually upgrade your device at yoir convinienc, simply do the following:

1.  Download TCard/ SD Card update.zip file meant for your device from below link
2.  Place TCard update.zip file in root folder of your SD Card
3.  Turn off your phone and boot to recovery mode by press and holding Volume Up + Power Button for 5 seconds.

4.  Now, you will be seeing dead Android, do not panic. Simply press Volume key or power button to enter recovery menu

We’re often asked why we write about rumors and speculation well because people enjoy reading and discussing such things, especially when it comes to Apple. We’re often skeptical about these rumors ourselves and often have the same reaction to most of them — LULZ! There’s a boatload of lulz to be had for the latest speculative set of design schematics out on the internet now. Someone is claiming these particular renderings are the actual final design of the 10th anniversary iPhone… to which we say again… lulz?

It’s still very early to be calling anything a final design for the iPhone 8 especially going off of “leaked” renders. I will say that these particular renders look better than some of the other leaks we’ve seen in the past. From what we see here, the bezels are pretty non-existent all the way around this version of the iPhone 8. The screen isn’t off the edges like the Galaxy S8 but the bezels are fairly thin. It even appears as if the bezels may form a lip around the display, sort of like a case. That could be an optical illusion to my eye or I’m just simply insane.

These leaks still continue to suggest Apple has the fingerprint scanner/home button embedded in the screen, which we hope is true. Samsung wasn’t able to embed the scanner in the screen and we’re not sure why but that would be a welcome addition to the iPhone. My thought is that if Samsung was unable to do it, Apple is likely going to have issues making it work as well. I’m not ready to say this is the final design, but I guess it’s anyone’s guess.
