The highlight of the HTC U will be its “squeezable” mid-frame, which will add a novel input and control method to the device. Users will be able to utilize the touch-sensitive frame of the device to control actions. Details are sparse on the level of input and control the device and its software would allow, but it will definitely give the device a feature that will stand out from the rest of the crowd.
We have had a brief look at the device thanks to a live image leaked earlier by notable leaker Evan Blass. For its specs, the HTC U is rumored to come with a 5.5″ QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, 64/128GB of internal storage with microSD expandability, a 12MP Sony IMX362 on the rear and a 16MP Sony IMX351 on the front. The phone will also launch with Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC’s Sense 9 UX skin on top.
